You really ought to start a reclamation project where you knit a mirroring replacement for the orphan. Then start selling "No Mitten Left Behind!" t-shirts on the internet with various famous people saying it in a cartoon bubble over their heads.
Hey - that isn't as dumb as it sounds. You could make a zillion off those tees.

I'll start that right after I make my first million from blue windbreakers with the letters PEI in yellow on the back.
Actually I was lucky to get that picture. There's an Ottawa artist named Karina Bergman who has something going on called the Lost Mitten Project, which scoops up hundreds of the wayward things each year.
