I should have taken a couple of shots of the clutches of beaten down grass made by the nesting teenagers. I believe, tho', at the time I was too busy grumbling about the heat and the incline.

Why is it that these expeditions always take place at high noon?


Because it takes till then for us to get our ass in gear. On the upside we had the place to ourselves, except for about a million grasshoppers.
