Due to the name of this blog and its category of Japanese things we get a steady trickle of people searching for the Japanese word for nothing. Here's what the Random House Japanese-English English-Japanese Dictionary says:
none, pron. nani/dore mo (...nai)
nothing, n. nani mo ... nai
vacuum, n. shinkū; kūhaku
void, n. kūkan (empty space)
zero, n. zero; rei
The Zen ensō above can mean nothing, but then again it can mean everything.
