Thanks for the National Trust link! My wife has been trying to track the English side of her family's roots, and this may help her.

Hey Neil -- it'd be handy if there was a similar sort of tool for Canada. Though what would be handier would be a tool that sorted out all the relatives with the same given and family names.

I was messing around with my genealogy stuff today and found another example of a sister seeming to marry her brother only to have it turn out to be some sort of cousins marrying. Like thousands of other families, they tended to use only three or four given names for sons in the 18th and 19th centuries.
