Greenock Morton?
I think I have to go with Queens Park Rangers.
Morton host Partick today in the SFL match of the week. Partick are eight points behind first-place Morton, but have three games in hand. If Partick win those three, all other things being equal, they'll be one point up on Morton. Which makes today's head-to-head match crucial.
(Personally I don't believe Partick can count on beating Raith Rovers at Stark's Park, but we'll find out March 12th.)
In fact it's a significant weekend for every First Division club. All ten need to win today. [But only Falkirk, Livingston and Raith get wins.]
Today's match is also a test of Morton's drawing power as a title contender. Thistle's visit on October 6th attracted 3,445 to Cappielow, and Dunfermline's on December 29th drew 3,076. Is 4,000 possible? 5,000?
[2 - 2. That's good enough! Both Morton goals by MacDonald. Attendance 5,674.]
It's Round Five of the Scottish Junior Cup. [Winners: Camelon, Cumnock, Auckinleck Talbot, Shotts Bon Accord, Linlithgow Rose.]
