Grace United Church (née Methodist) at the corner of King and Ochterloney Streets in Dartmouth comes across as an eminently learned building. The flat roof and spreading buttresses of its Italianate tower share the lineaments of a Doctor of Divinity in his mortar board and robes, and the manner in which the tower seems to peer over the roofline it could be reading to the congregation from a very large Bible prior to delivering an hour-long sermon on some point of doctrine.
