Spartans have won the Lowland League title, joining Brora Rangers who won the Highland League a couple of weeks ago. If the planned playoff into League Two were in place this year they'd both be involved, but that's not scheduled to begin for another year. In the mean time the Lowland League is looking to expand by four clubs this summer.
Hibs have been so bad the past month they could end up in the playoffs, which raises the possibility of next season's Championship including three clubs that historically are never ever out of the top level, Rangers, Hearts and Hibs, only two of which would be able to get back into the Premiership for 2015-16.
