To Stenhousemuir

Morton visit Ochilview Park to play Stenhousemuir FC.

Morton and Stenny have played in the same division twice previously in the 21st Century, in 2001-02 and 2003-04, both times in the Second Division. The last time they met in cup competition was the 1975-76 League Cup. The last time they met in the Scottish Cup was 1936-37. They have never met in the Challenge Cup.

Stenhousemuir FC was founded in 1884 and joined the SFL in 1921-22. They have never been to the final of the Scottish Cup or League Cup, but they won the Challenge Cup in 1995-96, which puts them ahead of Morton in one category. Overall, though, Morton are more illustrious. Stenny wear maroon and white.

After six league matches Morton are in second place with four wins and two loses. How long can they go without playing to a draw? In 2009-2010 they didn't register a draw until Game 27.

The Third Round of the Scottish League Cup was played midweek. Aberdeen, Rangers, St Johnstone, Hibernian, Partick, Celtic, Dundee United and Hamilton advance.

Today is the first round of the Scottish Junior Cup. Sixty-six clubs will try to get a result today, though this competition is often beset with postponements. To watch:

Sixty years before Wikipedia there were Pelican Books. If you were spotted with one of these in your pocket during World War Two you were considered Officer Material. Now they're back. The volume above was published in 1950, soon after Partition, which might explain why a book primarily about archaeological digs in Pakistan is called Prehistoric India.
