Ian McCall, the last time he managed Partick.
Morton visit Firhill for a match against Partick Thistle. Morton are eighth with 13 points, Partick tenth with 8 points. The side that loses today wants to be relegated.
Partick Thistle's gaffer Ian McCall managed Greenock Morton at the tail end of the 1999-2000 season, earning 4 wins, a draw, and 8 losses in league play, and his squad knocked Brechin out of the Scottish Cup before losing 0 - 1 to Rangers at Cappielow. He managed Partick from 2007 to 2011, and Ayr United from 2015 to September of this year, when he returned to Partick. Ayr United have done fine without him and presently hold second place.
Despite their woeful league record Partick have made it to this year's League Cup quarter-finals and they are still alive in the Challenge Cup.
The league season is one-third complete. Morton have 13 points, which puts them on track for 39. Morton currently have the worst goal difference (-11), the worst road record (0 points), and the most goals allowed (27).
Partick have the worst home record (0 points). You feel that if both teams could come away with 0 points today, they would.
