The Indians are one of two Hanover teams in the Oberliga Nord -- their crosstown rivals are the Scorpions. The club was formed in 1948, and made it up to the DEL for two years in 1994-95 and 1995-96. In 2013 the club underwent bankruptcy and was dumped from the 2. Bundesliga to the Oberliga, where they have played since.
