Arbroath visit Cappielow. The Red Lichties are sixth with 35 points and a -2 goal difference; Morton are seventh with 35 points and a -7 goal difference. (Dunfermline are fifth with 35 points and a +5 goal difference.)
This is the final meeting between Morton and Arbroath for 2019-20, unless they meet in the Premiership playoffs. In the first three games Morton earned two wins, Arbroath one.
Morton have completed three-quarters of their season. Their 35 points put them on track for 46 or 47, good for fifth place in last year's Championship.
If Morton win, and Dundee and Dunfermline lose, Morton will be in fourth place.
Arbroath are having one of their best seasons ever. It's the best since 2001-02, when they finished seventh in the First Division (tier II of four). And that was their best since 1975-76 when they finished fifth in the First Division (tier II of three). Before the war they finished eleventh in Division One (tier I of two) in 1935-36 and 1937-38.
Arbroath FC are called the Red Lichties after a navigational aid in Arbroath Harbour.
There were four scoreless draws in the Championship midweek. Morton were the only side to take a loss, despite being the second-highest scoring team in those games.
David Hopkin is Championship manager of the month for February. In related news Ray McKinnon is League Two manager of the month for February. [And Nick Cadden is Championship player of the month.]
There's speculation that if the coronavirus causes the cancellation of the 2019-20 season Celtic will be declared champion. I would think that in the case of an unfinished season there would be no promotion or relegation, which would be good news for Brechin.
The other Championship matches:
Alloa (8th) [2 - 0] Inverness CT (2nd)
Ayr United (3rd) [0 - 0] Dundee (4th)
Dundee United (1st) [1 - 1] Partick (10th)
Entering this game Partick cannot win the division, and Dundee United cannot finish tenth.
Dunfermline (5th) [1 - 1] QoS (9th)
[Morton 1 - 1 Arbroath. Sean McGinty.]
[As a result of these scores neither Queen of the South nor Alloa can win the Championship, and Dundee United are safe from relegation.]

I plan to follow the four Tohoku clubs in J3 this season -- Blaublitz Akita, Fukushima United, Vanraure Hachinohe and Iwate Grulla Morioka -- and make a table out of their games against one another. The schedule was supposed to begin this weekend, but the first games have been postponed due to the coronavirus.
Fukushima United vs Blaublitz Akita (tomorrow) (postponed)
Atlético Ottawa are due to begin their training camp on March 11 in Madrid. So far they have signed Ben Fisk, who played for Pacific FC last season, Malyk Hamilton, who played for Cavalry, and Antoine Coupland, who is 16. Assuming that all their foreign players will come out of the Atlético Madrid system, they need to sign about a dozen Canadians.
