Developments:
Major League Soccer, the USL Championship and the National Women's Soccer League are all playing soccer. MLS has the "MLS Is Back" tournament at Disney World. The NWSL is staging a Challenge Cup tournament in Utah. The USL Championship is not congregated at one single hub but instead is broken up into small geographical groups; Iida Kodai's OKC Energy FC is in a division made up of three teams from Texas and two from Oklahoma.
What about the Canadian Championship? Toronto FC, Montreal Impact and Vancouver Whitecaps are all in the MLS is Back tournament, which doesn't end until August 11th. Add two weeks of quarantine and it looks like their involvement in the Canadian Championship cannot begin before August 25th.
Toronto FC II has withdrawn from this year's USL League One.
The Scottish transfer window is open and will close again October 5th.
If indeed the Scottish League Cup begins with the usual group stage in October it's hard to imagine any of the Premiership clubs crashing out the way St Mirren did last year. They will be about nine games into their season at that point, whereas the lower league clubs will just be tuning up.
