The Pomejanum is a replica Roman house and museum in northeastern Bavaria. It was commissioned by King Ludwig in 1840, suffered extensive damage and looting during World War Two, and has since been refurbished. It's modelled on the House of Castor and Pollux in Pompeii, which was itself demolished by Vesuvius. Source.
