It's the 104th Emperor's Cup, Round One. Can you believe it's already Reiwa 6?

The format is similar to last year's, with one big exception. Urawa Red Diamonds were expelled from the tournament after their fans rioted when the team was eliminated last year. Amateur representative Honda FC takes their place in Round Two, and university champion Meiji University takes Honda's place in Round One.

Kawasoe Club are this year's Saga Prefecture representative. They've been to the Emperor's Cup three times before (see below).

It's the Scottish Cup final: Celtic vs Rangers. In spite of the Old Firm's everlasting domination of Scottish football this is the first Celtic/Rangers final since 2002.

Celtic have won the Cup 41 times, Rangers 34. When was the last time Rangers were ahead of Celtic in terms of Scottish Cups won? 1966. Although Celtic are 15 years younger than Rangers they managed to win the Scottish Cup before Rangers ever did, they have won it more often than Rangers and more recently.

In previous head-to-head finals Rangers have won seven, Celtic seven, plus one final that was called off due to rioting.
